TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By creating a resume, taking a test or even just browsing you agree to these terms with SkillMX. If you do not agree please do not use this site. That's what it is.

We can change those terms as the stuff changes. We'll post the new version here, with a new date at the top. If you continue to use SkillMX after that, you are agreeing to updated terms.

We use AI to help people find jobs. Build careers. The goal is to focus hiring on actual skills, not how a resume looks on paper.

Here's what you can have right now:

• Resume Builder: templates and tools to build your resume (ATS optimized). The AI can help, but the power is yours.
• Skill Assessments are tests to prove what you can do, not just what you say you can do.
• Interview prep: question banks, practice material, and role-based guides—for the old and the new.
• Career Insights provides you with the information and advice to make better career decisions.
• AI Features: ideas, suggestions, enhancements, and useful tools—not magic.
• Your profile and dashboard: log everything and show recruiters you have the skills they want.

We're also working on more stuff like live AI practice interviews, structured prep systems and other stuff that's not quite ready yet. Once those go live, we'll apply the same rules.

We can change or disable parts of the platform, or remove it. We will try to give notice but cannot always be sure.

You will need to verify that the details on your registration are correct. Not very exact. That's the genuine McCoy.

You are responsible for your own account. This means keeping your login details safe, not sharing your password and telling us straight away if you notice anything unusual e.g. a suspicious login or activity.

Do not create multiple accounts to get around the limits. Do not log into another person's account. If you violate any of these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account. We don't want to. But if we have to, we will.

SkillMX is for people 13+ (16+ if you're in the EU). If you are under 18, you will need the permission of a parent or guardian.

Much of this is obvious but we shall explain it:

• Do not post anything that is illegal, harmful or untrue.
• Don't try to be somebody you're not. Bots are not permitted to scrape the platform.
• Don't try to hack into our systems or other people's accounts.
• Do not send spam to people.
• Don't try to work out how our software works.
• You may not resell our services to any person without our agreement.

We will remove your content and may take legal action against you if you do any of the following. We don't want to be that hardline—we just want the platform to be a safe and usable place for everyone.

This is your resume, and you choose what goes on it. Your words. Our safety net. We help you format it and let you share it. Do it.

The facts are yours. By using our builder you agree that we can store and process your data to provide the service to you. And that's it. Ain't nothing else we gonna do with it.

Our templates are only for your use. Don't give them away.

AI suggestions are helpful, but double check everything before using it. AI isn't perfect, so you are the last person who can check your resume for quality.

If your resumes matter to you, be sure to download them locally. We work very hard to protect your data, but sometimes we make mistakes. We are not liable for loss of data.

A few things to consider when taking an assessment or using the interview prep tools:

• Your answers and recordings (if you have any) will be saved as results. This is not to judge you, but to give you feedback and to make the platform better.
• These are the results for your own use. They don't promise you a job or an interview or anything. We do not provide job placement. We are a space to experiment.
• No copying in exams. It negates the entire purpose—it kills the skill verification system that everyone on the platform is crying out for.
• By joining a session by audio or video, you agree to be recorded. This is used to provide feedback and to help improve this site according to our Privacy Policy.

All design, code, template and content on this site is property of or licensed to SkillMX. The platform is for personal use only and not for commercial use. You may not reproduce, sell or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

Your content is your content. We just need a licence to host it and show it as part of the service we provide.

SkillMX and our logo are trademarks of us. Do not use them until you have permission.

Sometimes we send you to other websites and services. We don't have any responsibility for what happens there—they have rules of their own.

When you apply for jobs through us, SkillMX will pass your details on to the relevant employer. From that point on, we don't have the power to tell employers what to do with that information.

SkillMX is provided on an "as is" basis. We do our best to keep it up and running, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be up or without problems.

We also can't promise you will get interviews with your resume, a job with your assessment score, or that the AI suggestions will be 100% correct. These tools are useful but there are so many things that we don't have control over that can affect the results.

Our liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount paid by you to us in the last 12 months or $100.

You agree to pay for any claims, damages or legal fees incurred in connection to your use of SkillMX. This is if you have broken these rules, infringed someone else's rights or posted harmful content.

You can delete your account at any time in settings or by emailing user@skillmx.com. We may, in our sole discretion, close accounts at any time without notice if rules are broken or if we have a good reason to protect the platform. If you close your account, you will not be able to use it. Read more on our data practices in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction. We would love to discuss it beforehand if there is a disagreement. If that doesn't work, we will find the best way to fix the problem under the law.

These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy) are the entire agreement between us. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement shall be enforceable. We can't be blamed for things that are really out of our control, like natural disasters or the internet going down.
