Look, privacy policies are usually a wall of legal text nobody reads. We've tried to write ours differently. Here's what we actually collect, why we need it, and what we do with it - in plain terms. SkillMX is owned and operated by LogicVerse Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which is the data controller for personal data collected through skillmx.com for SkillMX consumer accounts. When you join an employer-sponsored Interview Pro session, the hiring organization typically decides what is collected for that interview, and we process that data to run the session (see Interview Pro below).
LogicVerse Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our") owns and operates the SkillMX platform. When this policy refers to SkillMX, it means the services provided by LogicVerse Solutions Pvt. Ltd. through skillmx.com and related applications, including participant pages used for Interview Pro (proctored live interviews powered with SmartProHire technology).
Your account basics. Name, email, phone number, job title - the usual stuff when you sign up. Your password is encrypted the moment you create it. We genuinely can't see it.
Your resume content. Everything you type into the resume builder gets saved - work history, education, skills, certifications, all of it. We also keep your template choices and older versions of your resume. Losing an hour of editing work is frustrating. We've tried to make sure that doesn't happen.
Assessment and practice interview data. When you take a skill test or do a mock/practice interview on SkillMX, we record your responses and scores. Time taken too. If the session had audio or video - that gets stored as well, where applicable.
Interview Pro (employer-sponsored interviews). If an employer invites you to an Interview Pro session on SkillMX participant pages, we (and our interview technology partners) may process the data described in the Interview Pro section below. That interview is for the hiring organization that invited you.
Job application info. Applied for something through SkillMX? We track that history and your job preferences. It helps us show you better matches over time, not random listings.
Newsletter stuff. If you subscribe, we save your email and note what content you actually open or click. That's how we avoid sending you things you don't care about.
The technical background data. Your IP address, browser type, device, which pages you visited, how long you stayed. Pretty much every platform collects this. We use it to fix things that are broken and understand what's working. Interview Pro sessions may also capture device or session identifiers needed to keep the room secure.
From third-party sources. Sometimes analytics or advertising partners send us data - especially if you've connected a social account. Nothing unusual, but worth mentioning.
From our AI tools. When you use the resume optimizer or AI suggestions, your inputs feed into those recommendations. Over time, it also helps us make the AI smarter. Employer Interview Pro report insights (if enabled by the hiring organization) are separate and are used for that employer's review — not to market to you.
Interview Pro is a live, employer-sponsored interview experience. The hiring organization schedules the session and is typically the organization deciding why your data is collected for hiring. SkillMX / LogicVerse (with SmartProHire interview technology) processes that data to run identity checks, the live session, integrity monitoring, and reporting for that employer.
Depending on how the employer configured the interview, we may process:
Interviewers and invigilators invited by the employer may see your live stream and session information as needed for the interview. An invigilator (control room) may monitor the session for integrity. Monitoring is for hiring integrity for that interview — not for unrelated marketing.

Mostly - run the platform. But specifically:
We use it to manage your account, save your resumes, power the AI features, run assessments, and match you with jobs. We also send you updates and newsletters (only if you've opted in, and always with an unsubscribe link that actually works).
For Interview Pro, we use the data to verify identity, operate the live room, support integrity monitoring, notify participants, and provide reports and recordings to the inviting employer (including optional advisory insights the employer may generate).
On the backend, usage data helps us figure out what's confusing or broken. Security-wise, it helps us catch fraud. And yes, we comply with legal obligations too - that's non-negotiable.
We don't sell your data. That's a hard line for us.
Your account data sticks around as long as your account is active. Delete your account and we'll clear everything within 30 days - except what we're legally required to keep.
Resume data? Yours to manage. Delete individual resumes anytime from your account settings.
Assessment results we keep so you can track your own progress. Don't want them? Email us and we'll remove them.
Interview Pro KYC images, session photos, evidence, and recordings are retained as needed to deliver the interview to the hiring organization, meet security and legal obligations, and follow any retention terms in that employer's agreement with us. Exact periods can vary by employer order — ask the hiring organization or contact us.
Usage analytics get stored in aggregate for up to 2 years. Legal and compliance data might stay longer depending on what the law requires.
You can ask us what data we have on you. You can correct it, delete it, or export it. You can opt out of marketing emails. You can control who sees your resume. You can manage cookie settings.
For employer-sponsored Interview Pro or assessment data, we may need to coordinate with the hiring organization that invited you, because they typically control that hiring record.

California residents - you have extra rights under CCPA. The short version: you can ask what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of your data (which, again, we don't do).
EU and UK residents - GDPR gives you additional rights including the right to object to processing, restrict it, or file a complaint with your local data authority.
India - where India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies, you may have rights to access, correction, and erasure of personal data, subject to lawful exceptions. Contact us (and your hiring organization for Interview Pro) to exercise those rights.
We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember settings, and understand site traffic. Some cookies tie into advertising and personalization too.
Interview Pro live rooms may also use technical session storage needed for real-time audio/video. You can turn non-essential cookies off in your browser - though fair warning, some parts of the site won't work right without them. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
We encrypt data in transit and at rest. Our servers go through regular audits. Access to your personal data is limited to people who actually need it. Sensitive Interview Pro materials (such as KYC images or evidence) are stored with access controls and time-limited links where configured.
That said - no system online is completely unhackable. We do everything reasonable to protect your data, but we can't promise perfection. If you ever think someone got into your account without permission, contact us at user@skillmx.com immediately.
SkillMX isn't for anyone under 13 - or under 16 if you're in the EU. Interview Pro is intended for adult hiring participants. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you think a child's information ended up with us somehow, let us know and we'll delete it right away.
We're based in India, but some of our service providers operate in other countries. Using SkillMX means your data may be processed elsewhere. We make sure those transfers are handled responsibly regardless of where they happen. Where an employer agreement requires India-region storage for Interview Pro media, we align operationally with that commitment.
We'll update this page when things change - new effective date at the top, and a heads-up via email for anything significant. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you're good with the new version.
