As a Principal Engineer – Associate Director in Security Technology Services, you will be a senior, hands-on engineering leader instrumental in shaping EY's global Zscaler platform and Zero Trust initiatives. Lead the engineering, deployment, and integration of EY’s global Zscaler platform and associated network security capabilities. You will act as a subject matter expert in Zscaler cloud functionalities, ZPA, Client Connector, workload segmentation, Azure secure networking, and Zero Trust access patterns.

Key responsibilities include driving strategic engineering initiatives for Azure secure networking integration, hybrid cloud security, VMware data center segmentation, and enterprise AI security. You will collaborate with Network Security, Cloud Engineering, Application Security, Identity, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Product teams to deliver scalable enterprise security solutions.

Serve as the senior hands-on engineering lead for core Zscaler capabilities (ZIA, ZPA, Client Connector, AI Firewall, AI Guard). Engineer and optimize large-scale Zscaler solutions, lead application onboarding into Zero Trust architectures, and develop reference configurations. You will also integrate Zscaler with Azure networking components and engineer secure access models for various user types, implement identity-aware controls, and develop application segmentation patterns.

We seek a highly technical leader with extensive experience in large global enterprise environments, combining hands-on execution with practical leadership. A strong foundation in network security, cloud security, and Zero Trust technologies, coupled with deep troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, is essential.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 15-20 years of Network Security and Security Engineering experience. You should possess 12-15 years of experience engineering, deploying, or integrating cloud security and Zscaler technologies, and 8-10 years leading engineering teams or significant initiatives. Expert-level Zscaler experience, implementing Zero Trust solutions, and supporting Azure secure networking environments are critical.

Proficiency in automation technologies like Python, Terraform, and PowerShell, along with a strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing, and enterprise networking concepts, is necessary. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required.
