We are seeking a skilled WLAN Developer to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge WLAN Host Applications. This position is crucial for enhancing broadband gateways, routers, access points, and connected devices with advanced Wi-Fi functionalities. Develop and enhance Wi-Fi application features, focusing on configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, performance optimization, and security.

Integrate WLAN functionalities by working with essential frameworks such as hostapd, wpa_supplicant, and NetworkManager.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including WiFi Firmware, Driver, Cloud, RDK-B, and Product Engineering, to ensure seamless end-to-end feature integration.

Analyze and resolve complex WLAN performance issues, aiming to improve throughput, roaming capabilities, latency, and overall device connectivity.

Implement and maintain robust networking applications leveraging TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, QoS, and various routing protocols.

Develop key WiFi management features aligned with Broadband Forum standards like TR-181, TR-069, EasyMesh, and Multi-AP.

Engage in thorough debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of WLAN applications on Embedded Linux platforms.

Contribute significantly to software design, code reviews, architectural discussions, and ongoing product enhancements.

Provide essential support to automation and validation teams during feature verification and production deployment phases.

A minimum of 4-8 years of dedicated experience in WLAN/WiFi software development is required.

Demonstrate strong programming proficiency in C and C++ within Linux-based environments.

Possess hands-on experience with modern WLAN technologies, including IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (covering WiFi 5, WiFi 6, and WiFi 6E).

Maintain a solid understanding of the Linux networking stack and socket programming principles.

Showcase experience with core wireless networking components like hostapd, wpa_supplicant, cfg80211, and mac80211.

Familiarity with concepts such as EasyMesh, Multi-AP, Band Steering, Client Steering, and Mesh Networking is essential.

Experience with debugging tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, gdb, and Linux tracing utilities is highly valued.

Exhibit a clear understanding of WiFi security protocols, including WPA2, WPA3, 802.1X, and Radius.

Exposure to Agile development methodologies, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks is preferred.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and effective communication skills are crucial for this role.
