Our team designs and develops a diverse range of tools and systems, catering to YouTube support agents, partners, and users alike. As a Web Solutions Engineer, you will navigate various projects, focusing on full-stack development, backend services, data pipelines, and AI/ML initiatives, including LLM applications.

Design, build, deploy, and enhance scalable and modern full-stack web applications using Google's development tools. This includes ensuring robust backends, developing data aggregation pipelines, creating responsive frontends, and optimizing existing tools.

Analyze complex problems, develop effective solutions, identify dependencies, and resolve issues to ensure successful implementation.

Make significant technical contributions through writing and reviewing design documents, tests, and code in languages such as JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, and SQL.

Provide subject-matter expertise, leveraging a deep understanding of Google's technologies, principles, and coding standards.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional users and stakeholders to pinpoint pain points and engineer innovative technical solutions.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience is required.

Possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design.

Demonstrated experience with frontend languages like JavaScript or TypeScript.

Proficiency in backend languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

Experience working with diverse database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL.

Preferred qualifications include 2 years of experience in site reliability engineering, information security, or DevOps practices, and 2 years as a tech lead or engineering manager. A strong understanding of technical constraints in designing for web technologies is also valued.
