Design, construct, deploy, and refine sophisticated, scalable, and contemporary full-stack web applications utilizing both standard and Google-specific development tools. This involves ensuring robust backends, building data aggregation pipelines, implementing responsive and user-friendly frontends, and optimizing existing tool performance.
Analyze complex problems, devise effective solutions, and identify dependencies while resolving issues to ensure successful implementation.
Make significant technical contributions, including authoring and reviewing design documents, test cases, and code. Leverage subject-matter expertise and a deep understanding of Google's technologies, principles, and coding standards.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional users and stakeholders to pinpoint pain points and develop innovative technical solutions.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is required, alongside equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 6 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design is essential.
Proficiency in frontend languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript is necessary. Experience with backend languages including Java, Python, or C++ is also required.
Demonstrated experience working with various database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL, is a key requirement. Additionally, 2 years of experience in site reliability engineering, information security, or DevOps practices is preferred, as is 2 years of experience in a tech lead or engineering management role. Familiarity with the technical constraints of designing for web technologies is beneficial.
