We achieve this by designing and developing a diverse range of tools and systems utilized by YouTube support agents, partners, and users alike. The Web Solution Engineers within the Support Systems team engage with various projects and products, adapting to current needs while primarily focusing on full-stack development across Web Applications, Backend Services, Data Pipelines, and AI/ML initiatives.

Design, build, and deploy sophisticated, scalable, and contemporary full-stack web applications, leveraging standard and Google-specific development tools. This encompasses ensuring robust backends, creating data aggregation pipelines, implementing responsive and user-friendly frontends, and optimizing existing tools and services.

Analyze complex problems, develop effective solutions, identify dependencies, and resolve issues to drive successful implementation.

Contribute technically by authoring and reviewing design documents, tests, and code in languages such as JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, and SQL.

Serve as a subject matter expert, applying comprehensive knowledge of Google's relevant technologies, principles, practices, and coding standards.

Partner with cross-functional users and stakeholders to pinpoint pain points and conceptualize innovative technical solutions.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Possess at least 6 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design.

Demonstrate proficiency with frontend languages like JavaScript or TypeScript.

Experience with backend languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential.

Familiarity with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL, is necessary.

Additionally, 2 years of experience in site reliability engineering, information security, or DevOps practices is preferred. Experience as a tech lead or engineering manager is also advantageous, as is a solid understanding of the technical constraints involved in designing for web technologies.
