As a Windows Device Driver Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and refining Windows device drivers and low-level system software for crucial graphics, multimedia, and platform devices. This role is key to enhancing system stability and performance across various platforms.
Your responsibilities will encompass the design, development, and debugging of both user-mode and kernel-mode drivers using WDF/WDK. You will develop drivers for Graphics, NPU, and I/O devices across diverse Windows platforms, manage driver porting initiatives, and ensure WHQL compliance for release deliverables.
Furthermore, you will conduct in-depth low-level debugging utilizing WinDbg, perform BSOD analysis, and employ hardware debugging tools. Effective collaboration with firmware, hardware, and system teams is essential to guarantee platform stability and optimize performance.
We are seeking candidates with 5-8 years of dedicated experience in Windows Device Driver Development. Essential expertise includes WDF, WDK, C/C++, and a solid understanding of Windows OS internals. Prior experience with Graphics, Multimedia, NPU, or I/O driver development is required, alongside strong debugging capabilities using WinDbg and BSOD analysis.
A good grasp of x86 architecture, PCIe, USB, I2C, and embedded systems is beneficial. Familiarity with low-level hardware programming, driver certification (WHQL), and driver porting is expected. While not mandatory, experience with BIOS, DDR technologies, platform security, and SoC power management is advantageous. Proficiency with Git, Gerrit, JIRA, and software development lifecycle processes is also valued.
