Join EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) team as a Senior Consultant in Investment Compliance. This role is integral to EY's growth strategy, providing critical support to our worldwide service delivery centers. You will leverage your expertise in rule coding, financial products, and regulations to ensure robust compliance for our clients.
Our GDS team, established in 2002, has grown to over 80,000 professionals across ten global locations. We offer a wide range of services including Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional client service and enabling EY's global and local enablement teams with cost-effective, high-skilled solutions.
As an Investment Compliance Senior Consultant, you will perform analytical reviews of investor investment guidelines and interpret critical documents like Investment Management Agreements and Prospectuses. You will schedule meetings to finalize interpretations and proceed to code client and regulatory rules on compliance platforms, ensuring thorough testing.
Key responsibilities include managing counterparty and broker setups, collaborating with operations teams to enhance data quality, and updating compliance platforms with new data analytics. You will also set up rules based on ratings agency requirements, identify and resolve coding issues to prevent false positives, and maintain legal and compliance lists. Periodic reviews of account coding for accuracy and consistency are essential. Additionally, you will research ad-hoc queries, identify and analyze operations risks, and recommend procedural improvements. This role involves decision-making, process optimization, resource management, and supervising team members to achieve organizational goals.
We are seeking an Investment Compliance professional with a minimum of 7 years of experience, possessing strong expertise in rule coding and a deep understanding of financial products and regulations within Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Compliance domains. A keen eye for detail is crucial to accurately capture compliance requirements and avoid errors, alongside effective client interaction skills.
Expert-level proficiency in trade compliance applications like LZ Sentinel, Charles River, Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, or ThinkFolio is required. While expertise in the 1940 Act, UCITS Regulations, or ERISA is an advantage, strong analytical and interpretation skills are paramount. You must understand financial instruments to code guidelines and perform secondary research. Detail orientation is non-negotiable, with zero tolerance for oversight mistakes. Familiarity with Portfolio Management principles is also necessary. Candidates pursuing or holding certifications such as FRM, CFA, or CISI are preferred, but not mandatory.
