Join EY's Strategy and Transactions (SaT) team as a Vice President in Infrastructure Advisory, based in Ahmedabad. This role is integral to our Global Government & Public Sector (GPS) practice, focusing on digital transformation and reinventing public services. You will leverage private sector best practices and public sector insights to deliver implementable strategies.

Our SaT practice is a market-leading, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to assisting clients with their most critical strategic, financial, operational, and commercial challenges. We work across diverse sectors including transport, health, education, and urban infrastructure, providing expertise in Investment Banking Advisory, Valuations, Project Finance, and more. As part of our Connected Capital Solutions (CCS) offerings, you'll contribute to reshaping portfolios and driving competitive advantage.

Develop comprehensive energy master plans, including hour-by-hour demand modeling for various facilities to identify peak loads and grid connection requirements. Assess grid connection adequacy and plan for emergency backup systems, aiming for zero diesel dependency.

Optimize the renewable energy (RE) portfolio by integrating on-site solar, utility-scale solar, wind procurement, and short-term RE options. Design RE portfolios for 24/7 hourly matching and conduct financial modeling with LCOE, IRR, and payback analysis.

Structure and procure direct open-access PPAs, GUVNL green tariffs, and virtual PPAs. Analyze GERC rules and prepare competitive RFPs with bid evaluation and negotiation support.

Design I-REC procurement strategies specifying additionality, vintage, technology, and geographic criteria, managing acquisition and registry retirement. Establish a Green Power Verification Instrument Registry for MRV.

Size Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for peak shaving and RE firming, and design battery/green hydrogen fuel cell backup systems. Develop functional specifications for Venue Energy Management Systems (VEMS) with smart metering.

We seek individuals with a B.Tech and M.Tech qualification and a minimum of 6 years of experience in Project Management. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to collaborate effectively across client departments while adhering to commercial and legal mandates.
