Spearhead the development and promotion of a high-frequency user research system. Independently conduct generative and evaluative research, encompassing user interviews, usability testing, surveys, contextual inquiries, diary studies, concept testing, and journey mapping. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure research insights drive product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and design decisions. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to uncover user needs, behaviors, pain points, and opportunities. Produce clear research outputs like insight reports, personas, journey maps, and actionable product recommendations. Present findings compellingly to stakeholders and leadership. Mentor junior researchers and foster user-centered thinking across the organization. Enhance research operations through improved templates, repositories, processes, tools, and best practices. Champion inclusive, accessible, and evidence-based product experiences.
A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience independently planning and executing UX research is essential. Demonstrated strong experience with both generative and evaluative research methodologies is required. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Design, Sociology, or a related discipline is preferred. Proficiency with research and analysis tools like UserTesting, Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail, Maze, Lookback, Miro, Figma, or Axure is necessary. Candidates must possess a strong aptitude for synthesizing complex findings into practical product and design recommendations, coupled with excellent storytelling, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The ability to articulate the user and business impact of research-driven decisions is key. Prior experience working in cross-functional product teams within fast-paced or agile environments is highly valued. A portfolio or case studies showcasing research impact on product strategy, design, or business outcomes is required.
