UK EBP Supervisor
EY
EY
EY seeks a motivated Engagement Business Partner (EBP) Supervisor to join their finance team. This internal role focuses on providing financial support and guidance to client-serving engagement teams throughout the entire engagement lifecycle, from initial opportunity to final archiving. You'll be the primary finance point of contact, ensuring seamless operations and contributing to profitable growth and high-quality client service. This is a key role for a finance professional with a strong understanding of systems, processes, and policies, but it is not a technical accounting position.
As a senior EBP, you will manage a portfolio of client engagements, serving as the main finance contact for Engagement Partners. You will oversee the delegation and monitoring of Opportunity Engagement Lifecycle (OEL) tasks to Centres of Excellence (CoEs), ensuring timely completion. Your role involves proactively managing financial and quality risks, offering strategic advice to enhance compliance and revenue stability. You'll ensure adherence to service line-specific policies, support the external audit process, and manage the professional development of other EBPs. Collaboration with client servers and CoEs is crucial for applying OEL policies, monitoring risk, advising on pricing, and supporting Estimate-to-Complete (ETC) processes. You will also challenge engagement structures and budgets, share best practices, and develop relationships across Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
To excel in this role, a minimum of two to three years of experience in a client-facing or finance-related position within professional services or a corporate setting is required. Proven experience in stakeholder management and delivering high-impact client service is essential. You should possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent analytical and commercial acumen, with meticulous attention to detail. The ability to lead others in fast-paced, hybrid environments, build relationships at all levels, and demonstrate adaptability and resilience is key. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is mandatory. A proactive approach, eagerness to share knowledge, and the ability to translate complex technical information into business terms are highly valued.
