We are specifically seeking a Data Engineer – Senior to join our Tax Technology practice in India. This position is integral to supporting our clients and engagement teams through advanced technological solutions within the Tax domain.

Key responsibilities include developing complex SQL Server/Azure SQL backend solutions, writing intricate queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers. You will also be expected to possess a strong understanding of Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Datawarehouse concepts. Experience with the Azure Data Platform, including Azure Data Factory and Databricks, is highly advantageous. Effective communication with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, is crucial for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will possess 4 to 7 years of experience with mandatory skills in TTT SQL Fabric, Tax Senior/Architect Track. A strong foundation in SQL & Database Architecture is essential, including extensive experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL and expertise in complex query development, stored procedures, views, triggers, cursors, and UDFs.

A thorough understanding of Data Modelling, Dimensional Modelling, Data Warehouse Architecture, and Enterprise Data Design Principles is required. Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including its Lakehouse architecture, Data Warehousing capabilities, Data Pipelines, OneLake, and Data Engineering workloads, is critical. Experience with ETL pipeline design, implementation, and data ingestion/transformation frameworks, particularly using Azure Data Factory, is also necessary.

Candidates should demonstrate experience across Azure data services and platform offerings, with an understanding of cloud-native data architecture. The ability to design and optimize databases, build ETL packages, optimize SQL workloads, maintain enterprise-scale data platforms, and develop data-layer components will be key to this role. A Bachelor's degree is required.
