EY GDS's Tax Technology Transformation (TTT) team is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions for tax clients. This role involves leveraging deep tax knowledge alongside advanced data analytics and programming skills to address the increasing complexities of tax regulations and data management.

Key responsibilities include applying machine learning to derive actionable insights, owning the end-to-end model development lifecycle in Python (data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation, and scoring), and designing systems to process massive datasets for AI/ML applications.

You will also apply statistical methods and programming, translate business requirements into AI/ML solutions, manage stakeholders, and mentor team members. A significant focus will be on designing and implementing Generative AI-enabled solutions, including AI agents and APIs, integrating with enterprise GenAI platforms like Azure OpenAI. Experience with LLM fine-tuning, prompt design, and scalable enterprise deployments for GenAI systems is crucial.

A minimum of 5 years of overall experience is required, with at least 3 years focused on hands-on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Essential skills include proficiency in ML/AI techniques like regression, classification, clustering, NLP/NLG, deep learning, and neural networks.

Proven experience in delivering complete ML projects from development to production is necessary. Expert proficiency in Python, coupled with strong programming, algorithmic, and database skills, is mandatory. A solid understanding of Generative AI and LLM technologies, including prompt engineering and enterprise LLM integration, is expected.

To qualify, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematics or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science/Engineering/MCA. Hands-on involvement in the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML solutions, along with tax application experience, is required. Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS and strong communication skills are considered ideal.
