The Tax Technology Transformation (TTT) team within EY GDS's Tax Innovation, Solutions and Technology (IST) group is dedicated to developing, implementing, and integrating advanced technology solutions to better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a vital member of EY's core Tax practice, you'll cultivate profound tax technical expertise alongside exceptional database, data analytics, and programming proficiencies.

Apply advanced machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights. Take ownership of the entire model development lifecycle in Python, encompassing data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation, and scoring across structured and unstructured data. Design and construct systems capable of mining vast datasets, structuring and engineering them for machine learning models, and applying AI/ML technologies to solve complex real-world challenges. Utilize standard statistical methods, simulation models, and statistical programming as required. Collaborate closely with business users and analysts to translate requirements into AI/ML solutions, presenting outcomes with clarity. Manage stakeholders effectively and mentor team members in Machine Learning, AI, and best practices. Design and implement Generative AI-enabled solutions such as AI agents, APIs, and intelligent interfaces, integrating with enterprise GenAI platforms like Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry. Gain hands-on experience in LLM fine-tuning and optimization, including parameter-efficient tuning techniques and systematic evaluation of model quality, latency, and cost in production environments. Demonstrate strong expertise in production-grade prompt and GenAI system design, encompassing prompt templating, chaining, RAG pipelines, guardrails, and reliability patterns for scalable enterprise deployments.

A minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Possess strong practical experience with ML/AI techniques including regression, decision trees, random forests, classification, clustering, NLP/NLG, deep learning, neural networks, and ARIMA. Proven track record of successfully delivering end-to-end ML projects from development through to production. Exhibit expert proficiency in Python, coupled with robust programming, algorithmic, and database skills. Maintain a strong understanding of Generative AI and LLM technologies, including prompt engineering and enterprise LLM integration.

To qualify for this role, you must have a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematics from a reputable institution, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science/Engineering/MCA. Demonstrate hands-on involvement across the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML solutions. Prior tax application experience is also required.

Ideally, you would also have exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
