Join our Enterprise Technology & Performance (ET&P) team as a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant, where you will drive innovation and functional excellence. This role is pivotal in transforming our SAP landscape, working within the dynamic environment of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP. We are seeking skilled professionals to enhance and maintain our SAP ABAP applications, ensuring optimal performance and integration within S/4HANA.

You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing advanced SAP solutions, leveraging modern ABAP programming techniques. Architect and implement sophisticated SAP ABAP applications, focusing on S/4HANA environments. Develop technical solutions using advanced ABAP programming and adhering to SAP best practices.

Craft and enhance critical RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflow). Integrate SAP Fiori applications by developing and consuming OData services. Design and build performant CDS Views, AMDPs, and reusable data models for SAP HANA.

Implement RESTful applications utilizing the ABAP RAP model. Create and refine interfaces through BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, APIs, and Web Services. Conduct thorough code optimization, debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, unit test cases, and detailed technical documentation. Provide essential support for deployments, production issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.

A minimum of 5 to 8 years of extensive SAP ABAP development experience is essential. Proven hands-on expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP), ABAP on SAP HANA, Core Data Services (CDS Views), and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) is required.

Proficiency in OData Services (Gateway) and the RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) is necessary. Strong experience with Enhancements (BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework) and various interface technologies like BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, APIs, and Web Services is expected.

Familiarity with SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts, coupled with a deep understanding of performance optimization and SQL tuning on SAP HANA, is crucial. Candidates must possess a strong grasp of SAP development standards, transport management, and the software development lifecycle, along with excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
