Join our Enterprise Technology & Performance practice as an experienced SAP ABAP Senior Consultant. You will play a crucial role in transforming organizations by designing, building, and deploying innovative SAP solutions. This position focuses on supporting and executing SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and conversion initiatives, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong understanding of S/4HANA data models and simplification. Your contributions will be vital in adapting legacy code, developing new ABAP objects, and implementing advanced S/4HANA technologies. The role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge SAP solutions and contribute to significant client transformations.

Spearhead ECC to S/4HANA system conversions and selective data transition projects. Analyze S/4HANA Simplification Item Lists to identify and manage custom code impacts. Execute custom code remediation using SPAM/SPAU/SPDD, ATC checks, and Code Inspector. Adapt legacy code for S/4HANA data model changes (e.g., MATDOC, ACDOCA). Design, develop, and enhance ABAP objects, including reports (ALV, CDS-based), interfaces (IDoc, RFC, Proxy, REST/OData), enhancements (User Exits, BADIs), and forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms). Refactor code for S/4HANA compatibility and optimize performance. Develop and optimize CDS Views and AMDP, focusing on HANA-specific coding. Support Fiori/UI5 backend services (OData, SEGW) and handle CVI-related developments. Participate in testing phases, resolve migration defects, and provide post-go-live support. Collaborate effectively with functional, Basis, security, and integration teams, and maintain technical documentation. Mentor junior consultants and conduct code reviews.

A minimum of 6–9 years of SAP ABAP experience is required, with hands-on involvement in at least 2–3 ECC to S/4HANA migration or conversion projects. Essential skills include strong hands-on experience in ABAP Objects, Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Proxy), debugging, and performance tuning. Proven experience with custom code adaptation for S/4HANA, SPAU/SPDD adjustments, and ATC with S/4HANA checks is crucial. A solid understanding of S/4HANA data model simplifications is necessary. Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, Fiori-related backend development (OData services), and exposure to Finance (ACDOCA, FI CVI) or Logistics simplifications (MATDOC) are highly valued. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams, good communication and documentation skills, and a proactive learning mindset are also key. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an MBA, is required.
