Join Deloitte's Technology & Transformation practice as a Senior Consultant specializing in Mainframe technologies. This role offers the opportunity to leverage vast amounts of data, providing strategic guidance and implementation services. You will help companies manage data effectively and transform it into actionable information, driving fact-driven decision-making and gaining an insight-driven advantage.

Our practice encompasses business intelligence, data management, performance management, and next-generation analytics, including big data, cloud, cognitive computing, and machine learning.

Key responsibilities include mastering the SMP/E utility for software installation on mainframes, demonstrating strong problem analysis skills. You will be involved in CICS Systems software installation, administration, maintenance, and support, including critical CICS Production Support with out-of-hours troubleshooting.

Further duties involve providing technical assistance to developers and application support teams, managing service delivery from internal and external teams, and designing/developing new hardware and software technology solutions. Leading problem investigation and recovery in complex situations is also a core aspect of this role.

Ideal candidates possess proven experience in the Technology sector with in-depth knowledge of CICS/TS 5.5, SMP/E, Omegamon, ACF2 or RACF, and CICSPlex/SM. Previous hands-on experience with CICS and third-party product installation and support is essential.

Availability for the required 24/7 shift pattern is necessary. Mainframe Sysplex experience is desirable but not mandatory. Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to the audience, are crucial. You should also demonstrate systematic project planning and execution using analytical and problem-solving techniques, along with proven project management success.
