Join Deloitte's Technology & Transformation practice as a GCP Data Engineer. You will be instrumental in unlocking the value within vast datasets, contributing to strategic guidance and implementation services for data management and analytics. This role is part of a global network focused on business intelligence, data management, and next-generation analytics, including cloud and machine learning technologies.

Design, construct, and maintain scalable, secure, and analytics-ready data pipelines and models, primarily utilizing GCP BigQuery and DBT. Develop and orchestrate batch and streaming pipelines using Airflow, along with implementing automation solutions. Address and resolve daily operational issues related to robotic processes, ensuring timely solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions, testing procedures, and scenarios throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production phases.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with analytics, product, and platform teams, ensuring efficient data pipeline development, advanced SQL implementation, and robust Airflow workflow management. You will also be involved in dbt model development, testing, and transformation frameworks, including incremental models and SCD implementations. This role requires expertise in data modeling, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tool integration.

We are seeking candidates with a strong foundation in Data Engineering, specifically with experience in DBT, Airflow, and GCP (BigQuery). Essential skills include proficiency in data transformations, testing, and governance. Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code deployments is crucial for building and managing scalable solutions. The role also demands expertise in performance optimization across pipelines, thorough documentation, production support, and incident response capabilities.

Successful candidates will possess a B.tech or BE degree and demonstrate strong capabilities in advanced SQL, Python for data modeling, and a solid understanding of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code principles. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Git (GitHub/Bitbucket) is expected. Experience in building dbt models, tests, macros, and implementing incremental models and SCDs is highly valued.
