We are seeking a Mainframe Modernization DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Rocket Software. You will be instrumental in modernizing development processes, establishing robust CI/CD pipelines, and automating critical functions within mainframe environments. The position demands a deep understanding of z/OS, application lifecycle management, and integrating mainframe applications into modern DevOps ecosystems.

Design and implement comprehensive DevOps practices tailored for mainframe modernization programs. Revamp software development lifecycle processes for mainframe applications, ensuring efficiency and speed. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for COBOL, PL/I, and JCL workloads. Integrate mainframe development workflows seamlessly with enterprise DevOps platforms. Automate code builds, testing, deployment, and release management cycles. Configure and administer Rocket Software's suite of DevOps and modernization tools. Collaborate effectively with application developers, infrastructure teams, and cloud engineers to achieve project goals.

Establish automated quality gates, implement code scanning, and enforce robust deployment controls. Facilitate the transition from traditional waterfall models to Agile and DevOps methodologies. Monitor deployment performance closely and propose strategic process improvements. Develop custom automation scripts and reusable deployment frameworks to enhance productivity. Ensure strict adherence to enterprise governance, audit, and security requirements throughout all processes.

A minimum of 6 years in IT is required, with at least 3 years specifically dedicated to DevOps or mainframe modernization initiatives. Demonstrate strong experience supporting enterprise-scale mainframe environments. Possess hands-on experience in implementing Rocket Software-based DevOps solutions. Proven experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery frameworks is essential. A solid understanding of software release governance and change management processes is also a key requirement.
