Join Deloitte's Technology & Transformation practice as a Mainframe Modernization Architect. This role focuses on leveraging deep expertise in Micro Focus Enterprise Suite (now Rocket software) to lead significant mainframe transformation programs. You will be instrumental in guiding companies through complex data management and generating actionable insights for fact-driven decision-making.

We specialize in business intelligence, data management, performance management, and cutting-edge analytics, including big data, cloud, cognitive, and machine learning technologies.

Lead comprehensive mainframe modernization initiatives, employing Micro Focus solutions. Conduct detailed application portfolio assessments and feasibility studies for modernization.

Design and implement diverse modernization strategies such as rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and application transformation. Migrate applications built on COBOL, PL/I, JCL, CICS, IMS, DB2, and VSAM.

Configure and deploy Micro Focus Enterprise Server and Developer environments. Support the migration of mainframe workloads to Linux, Windows, Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud setups. Develop robust migration plans, cutover strategies, testing frameworks, and rollback procedures.

Collaborate effectively with architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams. Execute code remediation and performance optimization. Lead proof-of-concepts and modernization assessments, preparing essential technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and governance artifacts.

A minimum of 8 years of IT experience is required, with substantial hands-on involvement in mainframe technologies and modernization projects.

Proven success in implementing Micro Focus/Rocket software modernization solutions is essential. A strong grasp of enterprise architecture and application migration patterns, coupled with experience in Agile delivery methodologies, is also crucial.

Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills are necessary to ensure seamless project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
