This role is situated within Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, based in Mumbai.
Assess and secure telecommunications network components, including Core, RAN, Transport, IMS, and Edge. Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents. Implement security controls for 4G LTE, 5G, VoIP, IMS, and signaling protocols. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Develop and maintain cybersecurity monitoring and incident response procedures.
Investigate security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms. Perform root cause analysis and recommend remediation. Support SOC activities and threat hunting. Ensure compliance with GSMA, 3GPP, NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements. Support security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews. Develop security policies, standards, and operational procedures.
Identify and assess cybersecurity risks. Conduct security reviews for new deployments and upgrades. Recommend mitigation strategies. Secure cloud-native telecom applications and VNFs/CNFs. Implement controls for Open RAN, MEC, SDN, and NFV. Evaluate security architecture for 5G deployments. Coordinate with stakeholders and provide technical guidance. Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
A Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess 1-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, telecommunications, or network security. A strong understanding of telecom network architecture and protocols is essential.
Proficiency with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools is necessary. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies is also important. Knowledge of key protocols including TCP/IP, Diameter, SS7, SIP, GTP, DNS, and LTE/5G protocols is expected.
