Join Deloitte's Cybersecurity team in Chennai as a Data Privacy Consultant. You will help organizations safeguard their valuable assets and build resilience against cyber threats. This role focuses on embedding cyber risk management into strategic development for effective information and technology risk management.

As a key member of our Cyber Team, you will cultivate strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, consistently aiming to surpass expectations. You'll play a vital role in ensuring data protection and privacy compliance for our clients.

Develop comprehensive data protection policies and procedures aligned with privacy laws and regulations. Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential data privacy risks and devise effective mitigation strategies. Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure adherence to data protection laws and internal company policies. Provide expert guidance on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), risk assessments, data governance, and privacy impact assessments. Design and implement robust security and privacy frameworks, alongside redesigning processes and privacy controls for clients.

A minimum of two years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance is essential. While not mandatory, certifications such as CIPT, CIPM, or CIPPE are highly preferred. Possess in-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, with a strong emphasis on the Personal Data Protection Bill in India. A Bachelor's degree in law, information technology, or a related field is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial, along with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
