Job description

This Associate Director role within Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP's Cyber division focuses on Incident Response and Handling. Based in Bengaluru, the position is critical for leading a 24/7 SOC operations and ensuring robust security incident management for multiple clients.

The role demands strategic oversight and hands-on management of security operations, driving process improvements, and maintaining strong client relationships. It's an opportunity to leverage extensive cybersecurity experience in a leadership capacity within a dynamic and critical domain.

Responsibilities

Lead round-the-clock MSSP SOC operations, overseeing monitoring, analysis, and response to security incidents. Manage and mentor a team of SOC analysts, incident responders, and engineers, ensuring client SLAs are consistently met. Oversee shift management and staffing to maintain optimal operational readiness. Act as the key liaison between the SOC and client governance teams.

Manage daily operations across detection, threat hunting, intelligence, and engineering functions. Ensure comprehensive staffing coverage with effective knowledge transfer. Monitor team performance against SLAs, KPIs, and KRIs, conducting regular reviews. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory submissions, audits, and incident reports. Ensure high-quality deliverables and timely invoice processing. Uphold professional communication standards in all interactions.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or Business Management being preferred. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of IT experience, including at least 7 years in SOC management or a similar leadership role.

Strong experience in an MSSP environment or managing security operations for diverse clients is highly desirable. Proficiency with essential security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS, coupled with expertise in threat intelligence and incident response, is crucial. A proven history of leading teams within a 24/7 SOC setting is essential.

Candidates should demonstrate strategic thought leadership in areas like NIST, Zero Trust, and Cloud Security Architecture, developing roadmaps aligned with cyber defense objectives. Experience in large-scale cybersecurity consulting and advising senior executives is also a key requirement. Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, and GDPR, along with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, are expected.
