Lead and coordinate investigations for escalated alerts, conducting in-depth technical analysis to identify and counteract potential security threats through log monitoring. Manage and lead high-level security incidents within the CIRT, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
Develop new detection use-cases and refine existing ones to enhance monitoring and detection capabilities, while also mitigating false positive alerts. Contribute to the development and maintenance of incident response strategies, processes, and playbooks, adapting them to the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Mentor junior analysts, foster continuous learning, and conduct post-incident analysis to present detailed reports and recommend security policy improvements. Participate in rotational on-call support for 24x7x365 operations and contribute to the design and implementation of new security tools and technologies.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC environment, including at least 2 years in an L2/L3 position. Proficiency in security solutions such as SIEM (Sentinel), intrusion detection/prevention systems, EDR/XDR (Defender), SOAR, and ticketing solutions like ServiceNow is essential.
Demonstrated success in managing security incidents and collaborating with diverse stakeholders is expected. Experience in network flow and traffic analysis, alongside the ability to conduct complex investigations using tools like Sandbox and CyberChef, is highly beneficial.
Professional certifications in cybersecurity are advantageous. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex security concepts and adapt to evolving industry trends. Programming experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JavaScript is desirable for analyzing malicious scripts.
An undergraduate degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Business Management is preferred. A B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputable university is expected.
