Key responsibilities include upgrading Oracle Databases to the latest versions (19c to 21c), configuring and administering Oracle 12c, 18c, and 19c environments. You will be responsible for planning and implementing backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, managing database patching extensively, and utilizing Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM13c). Experience with Data Guard setup, RMAN, OEM, and shell scripting is essential. The role also involves migrating databases across different operating systems, managing Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), and implementing Oracle GoldenGate for replication. Additionally, you will handle operating system hardening, patching, automation scripting with Shell or Python, and managing user access with secure configurations.
Further duties encompass installing, configuring, and managing RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments. You'll also administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning. Implementing system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control are crucial. Performance monitoring, incident response, and ensuring data integrity are also core aspects of this position.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Oracle DBA and Linux system administration, including at least 3 years of specific experience with Oracle 12c/18c/19c Database Administration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must, complemented by excellent communication and documentation abilities. A Bachelor's degree in Technology (B.Tech) or Computer Science, or a related field, is required. Proficiency in automating tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar configuration management tools is expected. You should be adept at maintaining backup and recovery solutions, ensuring disaster recovery readiness, and conducting system audits to enforce security requirements. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation is also a key requirement.
