This role focuses on enhancing client data protection strategies and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. You'll be instrumental in building robust security frameworks and advising on best practices in a dynamic environment.

Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures aligned with privacy laws. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate data privacy vulnerabilities. Monitor data processing activities for adherence to legal requirements and company policies. Guide clients on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), risk assessments, and data governance. Design and implement security and privacy frameworks, including privacy controls. Propose innovative privacy solutions and contribute to stakeholder discussions. Develop privacy metrics and dashboards for effective monitoring and reporting. Foster awareness of data protection policies across internal teams. Stay updated on global data protection regulations and adapt policies accordingly. Maintain records of data processing activities and compliance efforts. Implement privacy management tools, including consent and preference management. Contribute to proposals and whitepapers to advance Deloitte’s privacy expertise.

A Bachelor's degree in law, information technology, or a related discipline is required. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data protection or privacy compliance. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Bill in India. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for client and team interaction. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced setting. Professional certifications such as CIPT, CIPM, or CIPPE are preferred. The base location for this role is Mumbai, with a requirement to work from the office.
