Join our dynamic team as an AEM Backend Consultant, playing a pivotal role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level solutions on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Lead AEM backend development on AEM Cloud Service, leveraging Sling, OSGi, JCR, and established best practices. Design and implement AEM components, services, custom OSGi bundles, schedulers, servlets, listeners, and integrations.

Enhance AEM Assets capabilities by building and optimizing metadata schemas, custom metadata, asset ingestion, workflows, tagging, permissions, and asset governance. Implement and maintain AEM Workflows for asset processing, approvals, publishing, and metadata enrichment.

Integrate AEM with external systems using REST APIs, messaging, and authentication patterns. Own performance tuning and troubleshooting, focusing on caching strategies, dispatcher behavior, repository queries, and overall scalability.

Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment standards via Cloud Manager, ensuring code quality gates and release hygiene. Champion engineering excellence through clean code, SOLID principles, rigorous code reviews, and comprehensive unit/integration testing. Collaborate effectively with product owners, frontend, QA, DevOps, and security teams, contributing to solution design and estimations. Mentor consultants, establish coding standards, and foster knowledge sharing within the team.

We are seeking an experienced AEM Backend Consultant with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in AEM backend development, and 3 years of overall relevant experience. Proficiency in Java (versions 8/11 and later), backend design patterns, and API design is essential.

Strong understanding of AEM core concepts including Sling Models, OSGi services, servlets, JCR, and permissions/ACLs is required. Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service fundamentals such as immutable deployments, Cloud Manager, log analysis, and cloud constraints is crucial. Familiarity with Headless AEM patterns like Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and SPA integrations is also necessary.

Solid working knowledge of AEM Assets and its associated tooling for metadata, workflows, and asset processing is expected. Experience with Dispatcher/CDN caching, cache invalidation strategies, and troubleshooting is vital. Comfort with Git, Maven, CI/CD, and DevOps collaboration, along with testing knowledge using JUnit and Mockito, and integration testing practices, is required. Good communication skills are important for working with globally distributed teams.
