Join EY as a Travel Technology Operations Specialist, a pivotal role supporting technology and AI advancements within the Travel, Meetings & Events (TME) portfolio. You will serve as the operational liaison, fostering clear communication between Enterprise Technology (ET), business subject matter experts (SMEs), and delivery teams. This role is crucial for ensuring that operational realities, business impacts, and market-specific nuances are integrated throughout the solution development lifecycle. By translating operational insights into actionable input for technology teams and relaying technical decisions back to business stakeholders, you'll ensure our travel technology and AI solutions are practical, well-supported, and perfectly suited for their intended use.

Your contribution will be instrumental in creating travel technology and AI solutions that are not only innovative but also operationally sound and effective.

Key responsibilities include providing essential operational insights and business context during the development of travel technology and AI solutions, helping delivery teams understand intricate travel processes, market variations, user impacts, and support needs. You will coordinate the collection, organization, and validation of operational content from SMEs for AI-enabled travel solutions. Identifying and escalating operational risks, dependencies, and practical constraints to the project team is also a critical function.

Act as the central communication channel between ET, delivery teams, and business SMEs, identifying and engaging appropriate SMEs for collaborative activities. Translate operational knowledge into structured input for technology teams and communicate technical decisions back to SMEs in accessible business language. Early engagement with traveler user groups will be key for validating strategies and gathering feedback to shape decision-making, prioritization, and delivery planning. Maintaining clear information flows and follow-ups ensures ET and project teams have the operational expertise they require.

Review proposed solutions from an operational standpoint, considering process impacts, market dynamics, and support implications, providing clear feedback without owning requirements or design. Confirm that key operational assumptions are practical and scalable. Support deployment readiness by ensuring operational impacts are identified and stakeholders are engaged, providing local Travel Managers with essential operational input for market communications. Post-go-live, gather feedback, provide context for issue assessment, and identify opportunities for improvement.

We are seeking individuals with experience in corporate travel, travel operations, business operations, or a technology-enabled service environment. Strong capabilities in communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and relationship-building are essential, particularly the ability to bridge technical and operational perspectives. You should possess the skill to comprehend complex operational processes and translate risks, impacts, and business knowledge into clear, structured information.

Experience working across diverse functions, markets, and cultures within a global setting is highly valued. Practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to constructively challenge assumptions are also important. Desirable qualifications include experience supporting technology implementation, operational change, knowledge management, or continuous improvement initiatives. Familiarity with corporate travel technology, AI-enabled solutions, Travel Management Companies, or the broader supplier ecosystem would be advantageous.
