NTT DATA is seeking a motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, India. This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity and quality within our data platform modernization initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include executing comprehensive data validation queries, comparing source and target data outputs from various platforms like Yellowbricks, Informatica, Databricks, and Snowflake. You will perform row-count checks, aggregate validations, and detailed cell-level comparisons.

You will validate schema consistency, understand Informatica mappings, and test dbt models and Databricks notebooks. This includes validating CDC/incremental loads, executing functional and regression tests for migration waves, and supporting integration testing across different layers.

Additionally, you'll assist with basic performance tests, monitor pipeline runs, execute test cases with clear traceability, and log defects meticulously. Retesting resolved issues and maintaining test artifacts are also key aspects of this role. You will actively participate in daily stand-ups and defect triage sessions with global teams.

We require 2-4 years of experience in Software Testing/QA, with a minimum of 2 years focused on Data Warehouse/ETL testing. Practical experience in data migration or data platform modernization projects is highly desirable.

Strong SQL skills are essential for writing complex validation queries. Hands-on experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks is preferred. Familiarity with Informatica, dbt, or similar ETL/ELT tools, along with a solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, is important.

Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA is expected. Excellent attention to detail, a structured validation approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers to analyze and resolve data discrepancies are crucial soft skills for this role.
