As an SAP WM/EWM Senior Consultant, you will be instrumental in supporting, enhancing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions. This role demands functional expertise across warehouse operations, supply chain execution, inventory management, and logistics processes, including integrations, testing, and production support.
Key duties include decision-making, process optimization, resource management, and overseeing team execution. You will be accountable for personnel allocation, task assignment, ensuring team support, and performance evaluation to meet organizational objectives.
Responsibilities extend to configuring warehouse organizational structures, storage layouts, and supporting critical warehouse processes such as inbound and outbound processing, inventory management, replenishment, physical inventory, posting changes, wave management, and quality inspection. Configuration of handling units and packaging specifications is also a core part of this role.
You will participate in SAP EWM implementations and enhancements by engaging in business requirement gathering, process workshops, and preparing blueprints and functional design documents. You will configure SAP EWM solutions, support deployments, rollouts, upgrades, and enhancement projects, and participate actively in cutover and go-live activities.
Integration management involves supporting the integration between SAP EWM and SAP ERP/S4HANA systems, collaborating closely with SAP MM, SD, WM, PP, and Logistics Execution teams. This includes supporting interface development and troubleshooting for IDocs, RFC, ALE, and Web Services to ensure smooth warehouse transaction processing.
Enablement of mobility and automation solutions using SAP RF Framework, ITS Mobile, SAP Console, and RFID Technologies is expected, alongside support for warehouse automation integrations and testing of automated solutions.
You will configure and support advanced EWM capabilities like Labor Management, Yard Management, Cross Docking, Post Processing Framework (PPF), Value Added Services (VAS), Exception Handling, and Wave Management, contributing to warehouse optimization initiatives.
Testing and Release Management responsibilities include preparing functional specifications and test scenarios, supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production validation, performing impact assessments, and supporting release deployment and post-production stabilization.
Finally, you will maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation, prepare SOPs and knowledge articles, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and mentor junior consultants and team members.
We are seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree holder with 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in SAP WM/EWM. A proven track record of at least two full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations is essential. Experience in production support and enhancements is preferred.
Required technical skills encompass a deep understanding of SAP EWM functionalities including Inbound Processing, Outbound Processing, Internal Warehouse Processes, Wave Management, Physical Inventory, Yard Management, Labor Management, Cross Docking, Handling Unit Management, Post Processing Framework (PPF), and Radio Frequency (RF) Framework.
Proficiency in SAP WM is also necessary, covering Warehouse Structures, Inventory Management, Transfer Orders, Stock Movements, and Bin Management.
Integration knowledge with SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP PP, SAP Logistics Execution, and SAP S/4HANA EWM is critical. Familiarity with ALE/IDoc/RFC Interfaces and Web Services Integration is also a must.
Possession of an SAP EWM Certification is considered advantageous. This role is ideal for professionals looking to leverage their expertise in a dynamic, globally connected environment at EY.
