EY is seeking a talented DNA Monitoring Engineer to enhance the operational stability and observability of Azure-based Data & Analytics (DnA) applications. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless execution of batch jobs through proactive monitoring, effective dashboarding, and swift incident resolution. As a mid-level professional, you will collaborate with senior engineers to advance monitoring capabilities, support round-the-clock operations, and maintain high data availability in line with established best practices for observability and alerting.

You will be entrusted with executing tasks with growing independence, applying sound judgment within established guidelines, and contributing significantly to team objectives. Initiative is expected, along with the ability to resolve routine issues autonomously and provide support to junior team members. Identifying and communicating potential risks within engagements to senior team members is also a key aspect of this role.

- Execute L1 monitoring and support for batch data pipelines and DnA applications on Azure, ensuring prompt identification and resolution of issues. - Perform standard recovery actions, such as job reruns and service restarts, following approved runbooks. - Actively participate in daily operational calls and stand-up meetings, providing clear status updates. - Track recurring issues and bring them to the attention of senior team members for the implementation of permanent solutions. - Provide support for post-deployment monitoring to guarantee stability following releases. - Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to manage and resolve data delays or failures. - Handle incident triage, conduct initial diagnoses, deliver timely updates, and escalate critical issues in accordance with defined SLAs. - Support 24x7 monitoring operations through shift work, ensuring proper coverage and efficient handovers. - Adhere to defined processes, governance guidelines, and ensure appropriate use of tools and access controls. - Continuously acquire new skills in monitoring tools, troubleshooting techniques, and support best practices.

- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Accumulate 2-4 years of experience in data operations, production support, or monitoring of DnA/data platforms. - Gain hands-on or working experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or similar data platforms. - Develop basic experience in monitoring and supporting batch workflows and data pipelines. - Become familiar with monitoring tools, logging, and fundamental observability practices. - Understand incident management, alert handling, and escalation processes. - Gain exposure to 24x7 support models or demonstrate a willingness to work in shift-based environments. - Acquire a basic understanding of batch job scheduling, dependencies, and production support processes. - Basic scripting knowledge in Python/PySpark or similar is considered a valuable asset. - Demonstrate good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and stakeholders. - Thrive in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. - Exhibit a strong willingness to learn and grow within monitoring and support functions.
