This role supports government, development, and private sector clients in developing and executing impactful climate action, sustainability, and resilience initiatives. This senior consultant position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical environmental strategies and drive sustainable change. You will be instrumental in assessing risks, developing action plans, and advising clients on best practices for a greener future.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive climate-risk, vulnerability, and resilience assessments. You will also develop climate action plans, decarbonisation strategies, and net-zero roadmaps.

Further duties involve performing greenhouse-gas inventories, emissions-baseline analyses, and advising on climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, and circular economy principles. Preparing technical proposals, reports, and presentations, alongside facilitating stakeholder consultations and capacity-building programs are also crucial aspects of this role.

Additionally, you will guide junior team members, contribute to business development, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality client deliverables. Collaboration with government agencies, private sector entities, and development partners is essential.

A Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Climate Change, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy, or Urban Planning is required. Approximately 6-9 years of relevant experience in climate change, sustainability, ESG, or environmental advisory consulting is necessary.

Strong understanding of climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience, ESG, and sustainability principles is essential. Familiarity with national climate policies and international frameworks like the Paris Agreement and SDGs is expected.

Proficiency in greenhouse-gas accounting, climate-risk assessment, and sustainability reporting methodologies is crucial. Excellent analytical, research, report-writing, and presentation skills are vital, along with effective client and stakeholder management capabilities. Willingness to travel and work at client locations is also required.
