As a Technology Assurance Senior Consultant fluent in Japanese, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive Technology Assurance engagements. This role involves direct interaction with Japanese clients, leading significant workstreams, and fostering collaboration across various engagement teams. Your expertise in technical aspects, professional judgment, and cultural understanding will be crucial for achieving high-quality results.

Execute Technology Assurance and IT risk engagements, collaborating closely with Assistant Managers and Managers. Take ownership of assigned workstreams, encompassing planning, execution, documentation, and issue resolution. Act as a primary point of contact for Japanese clients and stakeholders, facilitating discussions and meetings in both Japanese and English. Review audit working papers, risk assessments, and deliverables prepared by Associate team members. Apply EY methodologies for IT controls, risk assessment, control testing, remediation, and reporting. Identify control gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement, articulating clear recommendations to clients. Provide guidance and performance feedback to junior team members. Support engagement management tasks, including timelines, deliverable tracking, and quality assurance. Foster effective collaboration with offshore and onshore EY teams across different regions. Demonstrate a strong grasp of Japanese business practices and cultural norms to nurture client relationships.

Proficiency in Japanese, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension, with a required JLPT N2/N1 certification. Familiarity with IT controls, IT audit concepts, and assurance methodologies. Demonstrated ability to lead tasks independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical, documentation, and critical thinking skills are essential. Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation abilities are expected. Capability to work harmoniously with team members and contribute to a collaborative environment. A proactive, detail-oriented, and quality-focused mindset is a must.

To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in Technology Assurance, IT Audit, IT Risk, or similar consulting roles is typically required. Prior experience in roles such as IT Auditor, Technology Risk Consultant, IT Compliance Analyst, Information Security Consultant, or Financial Auditor is beneficial. A willingness to work onsite, as needed, is necessary, along with flexibility for extended hours during peak engagement periods.
