Join our team as a Technology Platform Engineer and play a crucial role in building and maintaining robust cloud environments. You will be instrumental in creating production and non-production cloud infrastructure, leveraging cutting-edge software tools to establish solid platforms for projects and products. This role also involves deploying automation pipelines to streamline environment creation and configuration, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
As a Go Developer, your typical day will revolve around the design, development, and support of scalable backend applications for dynamic OTT and digital media platforms. You will focus on critical areas like API development, seamless AWS cloud integration, performance optimization, and providing essential production support. Utilizing Go and cloud-native technologies, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions, all while adhering to Agile and DevOps best practices.
As a key member of our technology team, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert in Go application development, independently driving initiatives. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and enhancing sophisticated backend services using the Go programming language. You will be responsible for building and consuming RESTful and gRPC APIs that power catalog management, metadata handling, entitlement systems, playback authorization, and device registration.
Your role will involve deep integration with a wide array of AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kinesis, and API Gateway. You'll craft efficient Go code utilizing advanced language features like interfaces, goroutines, channels, and context propagation, coupled with structured error handling. Defining API contracts, data models, concurrency strategies, caching solutions, and resiliency patterns will also be part of your remit. You will lead feature delivery from initial design through to deployment and production stabilization, alongside developing and maintaining comprehensive test suites.
We are seeking candidates with a strong foundation in Go programming and AWS cloud development, including experience in building both RESTful and GRPC APIs. A deep understanding of Go's core concepts like interfaces, structures, goroutines, channels, context propagation, error handling, and Go modules is essential. Experience with popular Go frameworks such as Gin, Echo, Chi, or net/http, along with designing and implementing microservices architectures, is highly valued.
Hands-on experience with a broad spectrum of AWS services is critical, including but not limited to Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kinesis, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM. Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases is required. Proficiency in Go testing methodologies, including table-driven tests, mocking, benchmarking, profiling, and race detection, is expected. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code is also a must.
Furthermore, you should have experience implementing deployment strategies like Blue-Green and Canary. The ability to troubleshoot distributed applications using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools is vital. Experience leading production incident management and technical reviews, coupled with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, will set you apart. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
