Seeking a proficient Technology Platform Engineer to create and manage robust cloud environments for projects and products. This role involves deploying automation pipelines to streamline environment creation and configuration. You will leverage tools like Go Programming Language for development and AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure management.
As a Go Developer, your typical day will revolve around designing, developing, and supporting scalable backend applications for OTT and digital media platforms. The position emphasizes API development, seamless AWS cloud integration, performance optimization, and ensuring smooth production operations using Go and cutting-edge cloud-native technologies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions, adhering to Agile and DevOps best practices.
Take ownership as a Subject Matter Expert in Go application development. Design, build, and enhance backend services utilizing the Go programming language. Develop and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs for critical functions like catalog management, metadata handling, entitlement, playback authorization, and device registration. Seamlessly integrate applications with a wide array of AWS services. Craft efficient Go code employing advanced concepts such as interfaces, goroutines, channels, context propagation, and structured error handling. Define clear API contracts, data models, concurrency strategies, caching approaches, and resiliency patterns. Lead feature delivery from initial design through to deployment and production stabilization. Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and regression test suites. Actively participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and release activities. Analyze production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve performance bottlenecks. Support deployment validation, manage rollback procedures, and ensure operational readiness. Provide accurate effort estimates, technical guidance, and proactive risk assessments. Mentor fellow developers and collaborate effectively with architects, product teams, and stakeholders. Participate in on-call rotations and provide essential production support.
Demonstrate strong experience in Go programming and AWS cloud development. Proven ability in building RESTful and gRPC APIs. Possess deep knowledge of Go's core features including interfaces, structures, slices, maps, goroutines, channels, context propagation, error handling, and Go modules. Experience with Go frameworks and routers like Gin, Echo, Chi, or net/http is essential. Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures is required. Hands-on experience with key AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kinesis, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM. Proficiency with both relational and NoSQL databases. Experience in Go testing methodologies, including table-driven tests, mocking, benchmarking, profiling, and race detection. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code principles. Experience implementing Blue-Green and Canary deployment strategies. Ability to troubleshoot distributed applications using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools. Experience leading production incident management and technical reviews. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial.
