In this role, you will actively participate in Agile environments, ideally utilizing Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Your core responsibilities include designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications using advanced tools like Playwright and Cypress.
You will also assist in crafting and implementing comprehensive test plans, detailed test cases, and effective test scripts aligned with business requirements and acceptance criteria. Performing various types of testing, including UI, functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing, will be key. Collaborative efforts with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and fellow QA team members are essential for understanding requirements and reporting issues accurately. Executing automated test suites and meticulously analyzing results to identify defects and drive software quality improvements are also critical functions. Furthermore, you will log defects with clear documentation, maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks, and consistently demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and skill development, all while upholding high standards of professionalism and ownership throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle.
We are seeking candidates with 1.5 to 3 years of comprehensive experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Essential qualifications include hands-on expertise with both Playwright and Cypress for UI automation, along with a foundational understanding of developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is required, with Java experience serving as a valuable asset. A solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and best coding practices is expected. Familiarity with automation frameworks like Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG is beneficial. Basic knowledge of RESTful API testing and experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket are also necessary. A strong understanding of the STLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is vital, complemented by excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
