As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will manage critical customer issues and provide Level 2 support to internal teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working collaboratively within a global engineering team to deliver round-the-clock customer support. - Effectively diagnosing, resolving, and investigating customer issues on Google Cloud Platform products to enhance productivity. - Serving as a subject matter expert and consultant to Engineering, Sales, and customer organizations, resolving deployment challenges and contributing to Google Cloud's improvement. - Deepening your understanding of Google's product technology and architectures through troubleshooting, issue reproduction, root cause analysis, and tool development. - Partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams to enhance product offerings and collaborating with Site Reliability Engineering to ensure high-quality production environments. - Championing customer needs by advocating for their issues with cross-functional teams.
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 5 years is required in:
- Troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs, as well as triaging technical issues (hardware, software, application, operational, process). - Computer networking and web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, DNS, and similar.
Proficiency in at least one core programming or scripting language (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, Bash/Shell) is essential. Experience with Linux/Unix or other operating systems is also a key requirement.
Preferred qualifications include VMware certification, experience with system virtualization, on-premise or hybrid cloud computing solutions, and debugging complex workloads in large-scale, multi-node environments. Expertise in Vsphere, VCF, VSAN, NSX, HCX, and VMware Virtualisation is highly valued, as is familiarity with common solutions, design patterns, and best practices.
