Contribute to a global 24x7 support operation, potentially working non-standard hours or shifts. Serve as a subject matter expert, advising internal stakeholders and customer organizations to overcome technical deployment hurdles and enhance Google Cloud.
Elevate the supportability of Google Cloud networking technologies by collaborating with product engineering teams on launches and providing valuable customer insights to improve existing products.
A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience is required, alongside a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical issue triaging and customer advocacy. Proficiency in at least one scripting or coding language like Python or shell scripting is essential, along with strong systems experience in Linux/Unix environments.
Candidates must possess a solid understanding of operating system kernels, file systems, and TCP/IP networking protocols, including DNS, routing, and firewalls. Fluency in English is necessary for effective communication with regional customers and stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Kubernetes, container networking, software-defined networking in public cloud environments, and familiarity with HTTP protocols, APIs, and network packet analysis.
