We are seeking an experienced Technical Solution Architect with expertise in ThingWorx 10.x and SCPA to lead the architecture and solution design of our next-generation SmartConnect connected-product platform. This role involves translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions, providing technical direction across various functional areas.

The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on experience with ThingWorx architecture and development, coupled with a strong understanding of SCPA building blocks, IoT solution architecture, security, identity management, enterprise integration, and remote-access solutions. A key focus will be on maximizing the use of standard SCPA configurations and reusable components, minimizing customization, and establishing upgrade-safe extension patterns.

As a Solution Architect, you will own the end-to-end solution architecture for SmartConnect, defining application, data, integration, security, deployment, and operational architectures. You will translate business requirements into traceable technical requirements and implementation guidance, evaluating capabilities against SCPA features.

Key responsibilities include designing the ThingWorx Thing model, governing Thing Templates, Thing Shapes, Data Shapes, Services, and Mashups. You will architect secure remote-access solutions, design automation for file ingestion and package execution, and define robust security architectures including RBAC and least-privilege principles.

Furthermore, you will define integration architecture with systems like Salesforce for master data synchronization, and establish non-functional requirements covering availability, performance, scalability, security, and auditability. You will also lead architecture reviews, identify technical risks, and provide guidance to development teams.

To be considered for this role, you need over 8 years of experience in designing enterprise software, industrial IoT, or connected-product solutions. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ThingWorx architecture or senior development, including versions 9.x and 10.x, is essential.

We require 3-5 years of strong experience with ThingWorx Composer, modeling, Mashups, services, events, subscriptions, security, persistence, deployment, and integrations. Additionally, 3+ years of demonstrated experience with Smart Connected Product Accelerator (SCPA) or comparable ThingWorx solution/building-block architecture is necessary.

You should possess strong knowledge of RBAC, identity federation, segmented access models, approval workflows, audit logging, and least-privilege security principles. Experience designing enterprise REST/API and event-driven integrations, along with integrating platforms like Salesforce, IAM/IdP, CMDB, and SAP, is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
