Job description

Spearhead the operational strategy and performance goals for essential building and campus infrastructure, encompassing electrical, mechanical, utility management, and technology integrations across commercial offices and labs. This role involves leading a network of outsourced providers and internal teams to ensure superior infrastructure performance.

As a key leader, you will build robust supplier partnerships to enhance the daily experience for building occupants, proactively minimize infrastructure-related disruptions, and foster a holistic workplace environment that champions collaboration, productivity, and well-being.

Leveraging extensive operational leadership and technical expertise, the focus will be on enhancing infrastructure reliability, driving efficiency, and integrating AI. This includes advancing an AI-native approach to infrastructure management, cultivating strategic supplier relationships, utilizing data analytics for performance optimization, and providing financial and innovative leadership to support Google's continuous growth.

Responsibilities

Define long-term operational roadmaps, performance benchmarks, and design standards for supplier facility teams and technical consultants involved in critical infrastructure.

Manage utility agreements, solar interconnects, and vendor partnerships, while actively implementing innovative contract structures, key performance indicators, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Collaborate with regional teams to provide scalable infrastructure support for research labs, data centers, electric vehicle charging stations, and office spaces.

Enhance system resilience, ensure uninterrupted business operations, and implement smart building analytics, while adhering to industry-leading LEED benchmarks and occupant well-being objectives.

Utilize AI-driven maintenance intelligence for critical electrical assets to optimize asset lifespan, secure utility incentives, and maintain budgetary efficiency.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in managing critical facilities or technical infrastructure operations, including demonstrated expertise in budget management and team leadership.

Proficiency with Building Management Systems (BMS) controls and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Experience in the commissioning of HVAC and mechanical distribution systems, such as chillers and air handling units, including air and water side systems.

Proven experience in procurement and negotiation with vendors, along with the management of outsourced service delivery.
