Lead IT delivery with 15-18 years of experience, including 5+ years in program or Line of Business management for large, geographically distributed teams. A strong financial services background, particularly in capital markets or investment banking, is essential. Responsibilities include setting up and managing delivery teams of 25+ people across multiple projects, overseeing the full SDLC using various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Manage delivery engagements adhering to quality frameworks like CMMI, and gain experience across diverse service offerings and pricing models. You will interact with demanding senior stakeholders in the US and Asia, acting as a consultative and solutions-oriented leader. Strong commercial acumen, proficiency in effort/cost estimation, and excellent business communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills are vital. Drive pre-sales efforts as a bid manager, mine existing accounts for opportunities, and lead change initiatives for delivery excellence and margin improvement.
Candidates must possess a strong technical background and a minimum of 5 years of experience within the financial services domain, ideally with a focus on capital markets or investment banking, gained within an IT consulting/services firm. Proven experience in establishing medium-sized delivery teams (25+ individuals) organized across projects or workstreams is required.
Demonstrate project or program management expertise across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), employing methodologies such as Agile, iterative, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches. Prior experience in managing delivery engagements that incorporate quality frameworks like CMMI is necessary. Experience with various service offerings (e.g., application development, maintenance, re-engineering, migration), diverse pricing models (fixed price, fixed capacity, time and material, client-managed), and engagement models (partner/vendor-managed, co-managed, client-managed) is expected.
Previous experience managing demanding senior stakeholders with US and Asia-based clients is a must. You should be consultative and solutions-oriented, with prior experience in structuring solutions-oriented delivery engagements and troubleshooting critical delivery issues. Strong commercial acumen coupled with high proficiency in effort/cost estimation is essential. Excellent business communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills are required, alongside a strong understanding of project financials and IT services contracts.
Possess hands-on delivery leadership experience on complex or high-risk projects. Experience in driving pre-sales efforts as a bid manager, including large proposals and sales pitches, and mining/farming accounts for opportunities within existing customer businesses is expected. Strong outcomes-focused leadership skills with a robust people focus are crucial. Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement journeys across delivery excellence and margin improvement is also required. Prior experience managing leads/PMs in a matrix organization is preferred. Flexibility for occasional, short-term overseas travel is needed. A delivery background in technology-complex projects, particularly in migrations and data practice, is essential.
