As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead delivery engagements across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), employing various methodologies including Agile, iterative, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches. You will manage teams of 25+ individuals organized across multiple projects and work streams, ensuring adherence to quality frameworks like CMMI. Your responsibilities will extend to managing different service offerings, pricing models, and engagement structures, while effectively handling demanding senior stakeholders in the US and Asia.
You will be instrumental in structuring and defining solution-oriented delivery engagements, troubleshooting critical issues, and demonstrating strong commercial acumen with proficiency in effort and cost estimation. A key aspect of this role involves managing project financials and IT services contracts, providing "hands-on" delivery leadership for complex and high-risk projects. Furthermore, you will drive pre-sales efforts as a bid manager and cultivate opportunities within existing customer accounts. Leading teams in a matrix organization and driving continuous improvement for delivery excellence and margin enhancement are also core to this position.
We are seeking an experienced IT professional with 15-18 years in delivery roles, including a minimum of 5 years in program or Line of Business management with geographically distributed teams. A strong technical background is essential, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in the financial services domain, preferably in capital markets or investment banking, with an IT consulting/services firm.
Proven experience in setting up and managing medium-sized delivery teams (25+ people) is required. You must have managed delivery engagements involving quality frameworks such as CMMI and possess broad experience across various service offerings, pricing models, and engagement models. Excellent business communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills are crucial, as is a strong understanding of project financials and IT services contracts.
Demonstrated ability to drive change, foster continuous improvement, and lead teams in a matrix environment is expected. Candidates should possess strong outcomes-focused leadership with a people-centric approach. Flexibility for short-term overseas travel as needed is also a requirement. Experience with complex technology projects, particularly in migrations and data practices, is highly desirable. Mandatory competencies include Delivery Management (Portfolio Management, Forecasting, Margins, and Revenue), Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, and Planning & Organizing. Proficiency in Java (version 17 or later) is also required.
