Amazon Application Security seeks a security-focused Technical Program Manager to champion the protection of customer data within all development efforts. This role offers direct engagement with security teams and Amazon builders, providing essential front-line support and security expertise. - Lead all project phases from planning to successful delivery, including defining success metrics, governance, schedules, team objectives, communication strategies, and milestones. - Partner with internal stakeholders such as senior business leaders, development teams, application security engineers, and other security partners to understand their needs and improve their security posture. - Develop and manage internal scope of work documents with customers, clearly outlining success criteria and timelines, ensuring accountability throughout the project lifecycle. - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and security teams, advocating for customer needs to achieve security goals. - Drive the advancement and adoption of internal security support solutions, prioritizing efforts that yield the greatest benefit for Amazon builders, even amidst complex priorities. - Apply software system design knowledge to scope architecture, review threat models, educate customers on security finding severity, and guide remediation efforts for development and security engineering teams. - Establish and implement best practices, processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives to scale and enhance the efficiency of Amazon's security guidance and builder support. - Create and present business proposals, including growth strategies and new focus areas, along with key metrics to security leadership. - Proactively identify and manage program risks, developing mitigation strategies and escalating issues as needed. - Operate effectively and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. - Influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to achieve outcomes through collaboration with individuals not directly reporting to you. - Foster a positive work environment by employing active listening, encouraging diverse perspectives, and adapting to various personality types.

- Minimum of 3 years in technical product or program management. - At least 3 years of experience with project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management. - Proven experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, establishing processes, and coordinating release schedules. - A minimum of 5 years of direct experience working with engineering teams.
