As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of large-scale projects, from initial scoping to final delivery. This involves gathering business and system requirements from both internal and external stakeholders, authoring detailed specifications, and guiding project timelines from design through to release. You will also manage production launches and coordinate design and implementation efforts across internal teams, external merchants, and vendors to achieve optimal solutions.

Key responsibilities include clearly communicating project goals, individual roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional and remote project teams. You will be adept at making necessary tradeoffs to prioritize time-to-market while ensuring project success. Anticipating and resolving bottlenecks, managing escalations, and balancing business needs against technical constraints are also crucial aspects of this role.

We are seeking candidates with a robust technical program management background and proven experience leading medium to large-scale projects. A strong technical foundation in current web technologies is essential.

You must thrive in an entrepreneurial setting, demonstrating the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities. This means not only driving high-level strategic initiatives but also being hands-on and dedicated to executing tasks to completion. The capacity to deconstruct complex projects into manageable components, develop functional specifications, and deliver successfully within established timelines is expected.

Essential qualities for this role include maturity, excellent judgment, strong negotiation skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, analytical prowess, and demonstrated leadership capabilities. A minimum of 5 years in technical product or program management, 7 years working with engineering teams, 3 years in software development, and 5 years specifically in technical program management with software engineering teams are required. Experience managing programs across diverse, cross-functional teams, establishing effective processes, and coordinating release schedules is also a prerequisite.
