Join our Security team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a secure environment for Google's users and developers. In this role, you will collaborate with software engineers to proactively identify and address security flaws and vulnerabilities, working with network equipment and monitoring systems for attacks.

Our Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team ensures the safety and security of Google employees. We manage disruptive incidents and crises, while proactively anticipating, deterring, detecting, and acting on security risks. You will help foster a culture where safety, security, and resilience are integral to all aspects of Google's operations, including the creative process.

You will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring enterprise risks that could impact business activities, providing essential information to business leaders for critical decision-making. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative strategies and exceptional programs that drive sustainable effectiveness and improve Google's global security posture.

This position will drive the delivery of physical security technology solutions within the GSRS organization. You will partner internally to prototype and develop solutions on accelerated timelines, meeting stakeholder requirements and owning the end-to-end lifecycle of these solutions. Your work will directly contribute to keeping Google and its employees safe and secure across all global office locations.

Analyze operational processes and business requirements to ensure alignment with the technology roadmap, new or existing products, focusing on accessibility, scalable growth, automation, and business outcomes that mitigate key risks.

Deliver technology solutions aligned with strategic plans through tactical activities like gathering requirements, developing user stories, conducting lab testing, and creating project, rollout, and communications plans. Support the evaluation, integration, and implementation of third-party solutions.

Provide mentoring and guidance to junior colleagues, peers, and stakeholders as a subject matter expert in physical security, contributing to shared business goals and objectives.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of deployed solutions, gathering feedback and iterating to enhance user experience and outcomes.

Manage highly confidential information and safeguard company intellectual property.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Demonstrate 5 years of experience in security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.

Possess 5 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.

Have 5 years of experience coding in one or more general-purpose programming languages.

Include 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or conducting technical risk analysis within an enterprise environment.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Physical Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Case Management, Video Management, Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), IT Networking, Construction/Architecture, and no-code development platforms. Expertise in technology delivery, design, and execution within the Physical/Cyber Security industries, coupled with certifications like PSP, CPP, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA, is highly desirable.

Candidates should possess experience aligning diverse teams, including operational, engineering, product, and UX. The ability to navigate competing priorities, clearly present complex ideas, and build strong stakeholder partnerships is essential. Leadership in project management, encompassing priority navigation, objective setting, dependency management, planning, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and ongoing monitoring through informal authority, is also key.
