Join Google Play Monetization within the Devices & Services team as a Technical Program Manager. This role offers the opportunity to shape products that create global opportunities. You will leverage your technical acumen to lead intricate, cross-disciplinary projects from inception to completion.
This involves collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, identify potential risks, meticulously manage project timelines, and maintain transparent communication with diverse cross-functional teams across Google. Your ability to articulate complex analyses and recommendations to leadership, alongside discussing technical trade-offs with engineers, will be key.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead and synchronize projects that span multiple offices, product domains, and time zones, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on progress and critical deadlines.
You'll maintain the flexibility to collaborate effectively across global time zones, which may include participating in evening meetings to coordinate with international stakeholders and remote partners.
Further responsibilities include partnering closely with engineering and product leads to enhance organizational execution and propel high-priority initiatives forward. You will also manage the organization’s portfolio planning and prioritization, driving roadmap and OKR planning, milestones, and software schedules in collaboration with product and engineering teams. Advocating for the adoption of AI best practices and tools to automate workflows, reduce manual effort, and boost overall program efficiency is also a crucial aspect of this role.
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience is required.
We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of experience in technical program management.
Preferred qualifications include 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
A proven track record in managing portfolio planning and roadmap prioritization, ensuring seamless alignment between engineering, product, and executive North Star metrics, is highly valued.
Proficiency in utilizing AI tools and frameworks to automate workflows, improve data-driven decision-making, and accelerate program execution is essential.
The ability to apply sound technical judgment to assess engineering scope, determine feasibility, and manage dependencies across a global technology stack is also a key requirement.
