Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to define work problems and program objectives, securing prioritized deliverables and understanding program impact. Translate stakeholder needs into actionable program goals, contributing to strategic decisions on priorities.
Ensure adherence to unit cost delivery targets for Google's network infrastructure, aligning with build cost economics. Monitor key program metrics, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
Proactively identify and communicate with relevant stakeholders across teams to drive impact and achieve shared objectives. Develop and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards. Manage the approved network plan with internal contributors, including network negotiators and vendor delivery managers, to guarantee on-time infrastructure delivery.
A foundational understanding of infrastructure projects is essential, evidenced by 2 years of experience in program management and 2 years dedicated to designing, constructing, or managing infrastructure projects. You should possess practical experience in creating infrastructure designs, including drawings for data center networking space builds and remodels.
While not strictly required, experience in Network, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering fields is highly valued. Familiarity with data center, networking, or telecom operations, and deep knowledge of both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) fiber optic infrastructure, including Dark Fiber, Network Infrastructure, ISP/OSP Network Architecture, Network Topology, and Field Deployment, will set you apart. Strong problem-solving and communication abilities are key to articulating insights and defending analyses effectively.
