Google is seeking a dynamic Technical Program Manager to drive innovation in Cloud Storage. This role involves overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, from initial concept to final delivery. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of Google Cloud, a platform trusted by organizations worldwide to accelerate digital transformation and solve critical business challenges.
Leverage your extensive technical and leadership acumen to manage projects of varying scales. You'll identify emerging opportunities, refine existing processes, and steer the technical trajectory of your programs, ensuring alignment with Google's cutting-edge technology and developer tools.
Set a clear program vision, establishing ambitious goals and objectives. Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring seamless coordination across different initiatives and defining robust program governance.
Champion consistency between Cloud and central organizational processes, enhancing visibility and communication across all involved teams.
Drive cross-team execution and oversee the successful delivery of the entire Cloud products and solutions portfolio. Collaborate closely with engineering directors, product leaders, and fellow TPMs to optimize processes, simplify execution, manage OKRs, ensure timely releases, and introduce efficiency-driving tooling.
A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on designing, constructing, or managing projects.
Familiarity with distributed software applications and the ability to rapidly acquire new technical knowledge are advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with both technical and non-technical team members are essential. Demonstrable success in managing technical programs from inception to launch throughout your career is a key indicator of suitability.
