Job description

Join Google as a Technical Program Manager and drive complex, multi-disciplinary cloud silicon projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with diverse teams, manage project roadmaps, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure seamless communication across engineering, product, and leadership.

This role is integral to the AI and Infrastructure team, focusing on delivering groundbreaking AI and Infrastructure solutions at an unmatched scale. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI models and the essential platforms powering global services and developer innovation.

Your work will directly impact Google's leadership in hyperscale computing, influencing the future of TPUs, Google Cloud's Vertex AI, global networking, and data center operations.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of custom silicon products, from initial justification and planning through delivery.

Develop detailed task lists, construct project timelines, and guide teams to ensure successful execution.

Create data-driven schedules, monitor progress against milestones, anticipate future testing needs, and collaborate with team leaders to implement mitigation strategies.

Facilitate critical discussions regarding technical trade-offs, budgets, and timelines across various cross-functional teams.

Oversee project execution, proactively addressing issues that arise during design, development, testing, manufacturing, deployment, and ongoing support for silicon and hardware products.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with at least 7 chip development cycles involving architecture, design, verification, implementation, or validation.

Demonstrated experience managing complex, technical, cross-functional projects is essential.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering or a related discipline, alongside 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or multi-team projects.

Experience as an engineer or manager in developing hardware or software systems around chips, coupled with at least two chip cycles in a project management role under resource and schedule constraints, is highly valued.

Knowledge of data center and cloud market dynamics, technological trends, ecosystem partners, and strong communication and facilitation skills will set candidates apart.
